Shivani was born and raised in Fiji, where she experienced first-hand the harsh realities of limited healthcare access. 

Growing up, she saw several close family members pass away from preventable conditions—simply due to inadequate diagnosis, poor management, and a lack of basic medical resources. These early experiences left a lasting impression and sparked a deep commitment to making a difference.

Driven by the desire to change what healthcare looks like—especially for underserved communities—Shivani moved to Australia, where she completed her pharmacy degree.

Since then, she has worked across various parts of the healthcare system, using every opportunity to advocate for better access, earlier diagnosis, and more compassionate, patient-focused care.

 

Her work today is a reflection of that mission: to ensure that no one else has to experience the same kind of loss that shaped her journey.
